Lazarica

Lazarica is a medieval church in Kruševac built from white sandstone and red bricks arranged in a trefoil pattern. The structure rises roughly 17 meters with thick walls and decorative stone details across its exterior surfaces.

Prince Lazar commissioned this church between 1375 and 1378 as part of his fortified capital, which remained the center of Serbian power until 1403. The building reflects the political importance of this location during a critical period of medieval Serbian history.

The church displays the characteristic features of the Morava school through its cross-shaped layout and central dome, which still define the local landscape. The decorated stone facade draws visitors who come to experience the building methods of that era firsthand.
