Lazarica, Medieval church in Kruševac, Serbia
The Church of Saint Stephen stands 17 meters tall with thick walls constructed from white sandstone and red bricks in a trefoil design pattern.
Prince Lazar built this church between 1375 and 1378 as part of his fortified capital, which served as the center of Serbian power until 1403.
The church represents the Morava architectural school through its cruciform layout, central dome, and decorative stone elements on the exterior walls.
The church maintains regular opening hours for visitors, with guided tours available through the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Kruševac office.
The structure houses parts of Prince Lazar's holy relics in a silver and rose wood coffin, connecting the present to medieval Serbian history.
