Vladimir Palace, Renaissance Revival palace at Palace Embankment, Saint Petersburg, Russia

Vladimir Palace is a Renaissance Revival palace located at Palace Embankment on the Neva riverfront. The building spans multiple floors with over 350 rooms and features classical facades decorated with ornate details throughout.

The building was constructed between 1867 and 1868 under architect Alexander Rezanov's design. It served as the residence of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich until the Russian Revolution changed its purpose.

The interior shows a mix of different architectural styles in its rooms, with each space decorated in its own way. Visitors can see how wealthy inhabitants combined these styles to create distinctive rooms for different purposes.

The building now functions as the House of Scientists and stands at Palace Embankment 26, with its main entrance through gates facing the river. The waterfront location makes it easy to spot and approach from the embankment path.

The structure was equipped with advanced technology from the 1870s, including electric lighting, mechanical elevators, and telephone connections. These systems show how modern and wealthy the original occupants were at that time.
