Novo-Moskovski Bridge, Vehicle bridge across Obvodny Canal in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The Novo-Moskovski Bridge crosses the Obvodny Canal with a reinforced concrete structure that links the neighborhoods on both sides of this waterway. Located near Moskovsky Prospekt, it carries vehicle and foot traffic across the canal in the southern part of the city.
The original wooden structure was replaced in 1975 with a modern concrete design to provide a more reliable crossing. This reconstruction was part of wider infrastructure improvements made to the city's transportation network during that period.
The structure represents Saint Petersburg's engineering heritage as one of numerous bridges that form the city's extensive canal navigation system.
The bridge is accessible to vehicles and pedestrians, with walkways provided on both sides of the roadway. Being located on a main traffic corridor, it remains easily accessible even though the area experiences heavy congestion during peak hours.
The original wooden version of this bridge measured 115 meters in width, exceeding the current dimensions of Saint Petersburg's Blue Bridge.
