Kremliovskiy Park

Kremliovskiy Park is a green space surrounding the Novgorod Kremlin fortress, with walking paths, gardens, and seating throughout. The grounds encircle the historic defensive walls and provide open areas for strolling and rest.

The fortress walls date back to the 15th century and shaped this location for hundreds of years. A park was later developed around these walls to make the area more accessible for the public.

Multiple monuments throughout the park serve as gathering places where locals and visitors pause to spend time together. The statues and fountains create spaces where people naturally congregate and share the area.

The park has well-maintained paths circling the fortress that are easy to navigate on foot. Benches and rest areas are distributed throughout, allowing you to stop and sit frequently.

Trees were cut down during occupation but replanted entirely after liberation, making the park a symbol of recovery. What visitors see today grew back over the decades that followed.
