The construction period extended from 1895 to 1900 under architect Nikolay Nikitich Nikonov, with additional modifications made in 1904 by A.Ya. Puring.
The interior contains an extensive iconostasis that exemplifies the artistic traditions of Russian Orthodox ecclesiastical design and craftsmanship.
