House of Offices, Constructivist office building in Yekaterinburg, Russia
The House of Offices features a curved corner entrance at the intersection of Malysheva and 8 March streets, with large display windows at street level.
Built in 1929 for the Agricultural Cooperation Union, the building served as evacuation hospital number 1708 during World War II from 1941 to 1945.
The building represents a prime example of Soviet constructivist architecture designed by Georgy Valenkov, reflecting the industrial development of the Ural region.
The four-story building currently operates as a business center, offering office spaces and retail units in the central district of Yekaterinburg.
In 2018, this regional heritage site appeared in The Beatles' lyric video for Back in the USSR, connecting Soviet architecture with Western pop culture.
