The Masyagin Estate features a single-story wooden structure built in Empire style on a stone foundation in Staromonetny Lane, Moscow.
Following the fire of 1812, merchant I. Y. Masyagin purchased the damaged property in 1818 and constructed a new wooden house by 1819.
The mansion represents the architectural traditions of Moscow merchants from the early 19th century with its characteristic mezzanine and courtyard gallery.
The estate underwent restoration work in 2021, using 700 logs measuring 6 meters each to rebuild the historical wooden structure.
The restoration process involves dismantling the building piece by piece to evaluate and sort each element before reconstruction begins.
