The Navak monument stands on the Volga embankment and depicts a white sailing boat carved from concrete, rising roughly 20 meters above the ground. The structure sits on terraced platforms that descend toward the river, offering observation points along its form.

Completed in 1986, the monument commemorates four centuries of Samara's history as a river trading settlement along the Volga. This creation marked a modern tribute to the commercial importance that shaped the city's growth and character.

The white boat form represents the deep connection between the city and its river, a relationship that shaped daily life for generations. Visitors recognize in this design a tribute to the merchant vessels that once carried goods and people along these waters.
