The mansion served as the British Embassy during World War II when diplomatic missions were evacuated from Moscow to Kuybyshev, now known as Samara.
The mansion belonged to Alexander Naumov, a noble leader and honorary citizen of Samara, who later became the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Empire.
The building currently operates as the Samara Palace of Children and Youth Creativity, offering educational programs and activities for young residents.
The mansion contained its own power station, wine cellars, and winter garden, built with limestone specifically sourced from the local Zhiguli Mountains.
