Hôtel particulier d'Ekaterina Novokrechtchenova

The mansion features decorative floral patterns on its facade, curved lines in the windows, and an asymmetrical design with a prominent bay window.

Built in 1910 by architect Mikhail Kvyatkovsky, the mansion belonged to the wealthy Novokrechtchenov family until the municipal authorities acquired it in 1919.

From 1952 to 1962, Soviet composer Grigory Ponomarenko lived in this residence, where he created numerous songs and musical compositions.

The building underwent extensive restoration work in 1995, which successfully preserved its original architectural elements and decorative features.

The crown with radiating rays at the top of the building represents the boundary between spiritual and material worlds according to Art Nouveau symbolism.
