Strukovsky garden, Urban park in Samara, Russia
Strukovsky Garden lies between Vilonovskaya Street and Krasnoarmeyskaya Street, offering walking paths, dedicated bicycle paths, and an artificial waterfall with a grotto. The space remains open around the clock with no entrance fees for visitors.
Colonel Grigory Strukov founded this space in 1849 as a private garden with a manor house on the grounds. The city later took over the property and opened it to the public.
Local chess enthusiasts gather here regularly, especially on weekends, to play at a dedicated club within the grounds. The tradition reflects how residents use the space as a meeting point for their favorite pastimes.
The park sits in central Samara and is easily accessible, with bicycle rentals available for exploring the grounds. Visitors can arrive at any time since the space never closes, allowing for flexible visits.
Inside the grotto stands a statue of a wild goat, representing a regional symbol that draws many visitors to that spot. This sculpture has become a focal point within the garden's landscape.
