Блокадный колодец, War memorial with bas-relief in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The Siege Well Monument features a granite bas-relief depicting a woman with a child carrying water during the Leningrad blockade.
During the 872-day siege of Leningrad from 1941, this well served as a vital water source after the city's central water system failed.
The memorial, created by sculptor M. L. Krupp in 1979, stands on Nepokoryonnykh Avenue as a testament to civilian endurance.
Visitors can find the monument at 6 Nepokoryonnykh Avenue, near the Ploshchad Muzhestva metro station in the Kalinin district.
The inscription beneath the relief reads 'Here during the harsh years of the blockade stood a well - a source of life'.
