Carmel de Norraby, Carmelite monastery near Tågarp, Sweden
The monastery stands two kilometers northeast of Tågarp in the Svalöv municipality, within the southern Swedish province of Skåne län.
Three Flemish Carmelite monks purchased land and buildings in 1968, establishing this religious center under the leadership of Prior Emmanuel Martens.
The monks follow strict enclosure practices, dedicating their lives to silence and contemplation according to Carmelite traditions.
The retreat house contains nine rooms for visitors who wish to participate in spiritual activities and prayer sessions at the monastery.
Cardinal Anders Arborelius served as a monk at this monastery from 1971 to 1998 before becoming the Bishop of Stockholm Catholic Diocese.
