Tvetabergs säteri

The main building at Tvetabergs säteri features yellow-painted wood paneling, light gray pilasters, and a metal-roofed high ceiling containing twenty rooms and a kitchen.

Established in the late 1600s by Catharina Lenström and Erik Lovisin, the estate remained in their family until the late 18th century when Baron Fredrik Hierta acquired it.

The mansion grounds include several ancient burial fields near the main building, indicating continuous settlement patterns dating back to prehistoric times in the region.

The agricultural land of Tvetabergs säteri, spanning 230 hectares, is currently leased to Södertälje Municipality for growing grains and oilseeds.

Following a devastating fire in 1986 that destroyed all but the ground floor, the mansion underwent complete reconstruction and reopened within the same year.
