Fyrtornet Dalénum is a 68-meter tall residential building on Lidingö island in Sweden featuring curved glass balconies and a facade of Norwegian slate tiles in various brown shades from Otta quarries. The structure contains 129 apartments distributed across 22 floors in the tall section and eight floors in the lower portion.
Development of the structure began with a master plan in March 2010, converting an former industrial site into residential and office spaces. This transformation marked a significant shift in how the area was used and developed.
The exterior design reflects the autumn colors of Lidingö island, blending natural materials with the surrounding environment. Visitors notice how the brown tones of the slate seem to change with the light throughout the day.
