Šútovský vodopád, Waterfall in Mala Fatra Mountains, Slovakia.

The Sutovsky Waterfall cascades down 38 meters through limestone rocks, creating a vertical water stream in the heart of Mala Fatra National Park.

The waterfall received protection status in 1980 as a natural monument within the Sutovska Valley reserve, reflecting Slovakia's commitment to environmental preservation.

Local mountain communities maintain traditional hiking practices by organizing seasonal guided tours to the waterfall, sharing knowledge about regional flora and fauna.

Visitors can reach the waterfall through a marked 4-kilometer trail from Sutovo village, with the hike taking approximately one hour and twenty minutes.

The water source originates from Moses Springs beneath Hromove Ridge, flowing year-round and forming ice structures during winter months.
