Predné Solisko

Predné Solisko is a 2,117 meter (6,945 feet) peak in the High Tatras with multiple climbing routes of varying difficulty levels. From the summit, you can see across the entire mountain range with its distinctive ridgelines and deep valleys.

The peak lies within Tatra National Park, established in 1949 to protect this mountainous landscape. It later developed into a popular climbing destination for alpinists from across Europe.

Local mountain guides share traditional Slovak climbing techniques and safety protocols, passing down generations of mountaineering knowledge to visitors.

The Solisko Express chairlift takes visitors from Štrbské Pleso to 1,814 meters (5,951 feet) and saves several hours of climbing time. Proper footwear and caution about rapidly changing weather are essential on this mountain.

The mountain attracts climbers through various routes, with summer being the preferred season for visits. The rapid elevation change and exposed position make every ascent a noticeable adventure.
