Lesnícky skanzen Vydrovo

The museum stretches along a 4-kilometer educational trail through Vydrovská Valley, featuring 86 different exhibits about forestry practices and woodland management techniques.

The museum, established in 2002 by the state enterprise Lesy SR, preserves traditional logging methods and forestry practices from the Veporské Mountains region.

Traditional wooden structures, including a forester's lodge, chapel, and temporary shelters, display the living conditions and work environment of Slovak forest workers.

Visitors can reach the museum via the Čiernohronská forest railway from Hronec or Čierny Balog, with parking available near the main entrance building.

The museum integrates natural art installations created by international artists alongside historical forestry equipment and a functioning narrow-gauge forest railway system.
