The building reopened as Le Meridien Taichung in October 2022, following extensive renovations after a severe fire incident in 2005 that affected the structure.
The hotel incorporates elements of European design principles and Taiwanese architectural features throughout its interior spaces and guest accommodations.
Located directly opposite Taichung Train Station, the hotel provides immediate access to public transportation and connects guests to major destinations in the city.
The building stands as the third tallest structure in Taichung and maintains a position as the seventeenth highest building in Taiwan.
