Udachne

The settlement stretches across an area at 171 meters above sea level, featuring residential zones and administrative buildings in eastern Ukraine.

Established during the Soviet era's administrative reforms, Udachne developed as one of numerous urban-type settlements created to support industrial development.

The population maintains strong linguistic connections to Ukrainian heritage, with 87 percent of residents speaking Ukrainian as their primary language.

Local governance operates through the Udachne settlement hromada system, managing essential services for approximately 1,633 residents as of 2022.

The settlement will transition from its urban-type classification to rural status in 2024, following new Ukrainian legislation signed in October 2023.
