Tsukuryne, Railway settlement in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.
Tsukuryne is a settlement in Donetsk Oblast situated approximately 8 kilometers northwest of Selydove and connected to surrounding areas by railway networks. The community developed around a railway hub and functions as a residential area for workers in coal mining and related industrial operations.
The settlement originated around a train station built in 1916 and opened in 1917, which served as a transport hub for nearby coal mines. Over time the community grew, but gradually lost importance as rail connections for coal transport were discontinued.
The population composition from the 2001 census showed 33.58 percent Ukrainian speakers and 65.63 percent Russian speakers in the community.
The settlement has a secondary school and kindergarten serving families with children, along with basic local services for daily needs. The best time to visit is during warmer months when the rail connections are more accessible and travel to the area is easier.
In 1965, Tsukuryne received urban locality status but experienced changes in transportation when diesel train connections to Donetsk ended in 2009.
