Henry Kahl House, Spanish Colonial Revival mansion in Davenport, United States.
The cream-colored brick residence features Baroque ornamentation, a balustraded piazza, red ceramic tile roofs, and overlooks the West End of Davenport from a bluff.
Built in 1920 for self-made millionaire Henry Kahl, who started as a mule team driver and became vice president of a major construction company by age 45.
The Kahl family donated the property to the Catholic Diocese of Davenport, leading to its transformation into a retirement home managed by Carmelite Sisters.
Following extensive renovations completed in 2016, the structure now functions as a senior apartment facility with 68 units spread across multiple floors.
The mansion's third floor, originally designed as a ballroom and later converted into 20 bedrooms, now houses two modern residential apartments.
