The Ivey Delph Apartments features three bays with a central section displaying projecting balconies adorned with curved iron railings and horizontal bars.

African American architect Vertner Woodson Tandy designed this six-story beige brick and concrete building in 1948, completing construction in 1951.

The building represents a significant contribution to architectural history as one of the early works by an African American architect in New York City.

Located at 17-19 Hamilton Terrace, the apartment building provides residential spaces within walking distance of multiple transportation options in Manhattan.

The structure exhibits Moderne architectural elements through its curved balcony ends and geometric patterns integrated into the facade design.
