The construction of Aaron Davis Hall commenced in 1974 as a $5.3 million project by City College to establish the Leonard Davis Center.
The performance center presents numerous events spanning classical music, jazz, Latin music, dance, theater, literary readings, film screenings, and art exhibitions.
Located at 138 Convent Avenue between West 135th Street, the center remains accessible through the 135th Street-St Nicholas Avenue subway station.
The facility maintains dedicated scenery and costume workshops, along with a specialized classroom for theater history and design education courses.
