The 33-acre botanical garden features outdoor gardens, fountains, a conservatory with tropical plants, and a rose garden recognized at national level.
Established in 1885 when Davenport purchased the land for $13,000, the park was first named Central Park before receiving its current name in 1912.
The park serves as an educational center, offering programs focused on plant conservation, gardening techniques, and environmental education for the local community.
Visitors can access the park daily from sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset, with the Conservatory and Greenhouses operating Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The Grand Allee leads to a Stone Fountain displaying water illuminated by changing lights, while the perimeter offers a 0.9-mile fitness loop.
