SOB's

SOB's is a live music venue with a restaurant, located at the corner of Varick Street and Houston Street near the Houston Street subway station. The space holds approximately 450 people standing or 160 seated, and features concerts, dance classes, and special themed events.

This venue was founded in 1982 with the purpose of presenting performances from the Afro-Latino diaspora in a previously underdeveloped area of Manhattan. That decision helped bring cultural energy to the neighborhood.
