Van Reyper-Bond House

The Van Reyper-Bond House is a Renaissance Revival residence with a symmetrical layout and classical architectural details throughout. The exterior displays carefully crafted windows and ornamental elements that reflect the owner's interest in European design principles.

The residence was built in 1872 by Thomas C. Van Reyper, a prominent local businessman. It gained national recognition later and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The residence sits on the Montclair State University campus along Valley Road and is visible from outside. Keep in mind that this is a historic building on an active university property, so interior access may be limited.
