War Eagle Mill, Historic water-powered gristmill in Rogers, Arkansas.
War Eagle Mill is an operating mill on War Eagle Creek powered by a large water wheel. The building grinds grains into flour and other products, with sales available at an onsite store.
The first mill on this site was built in 1832 and survived multiple floods and destruction during the Civil War. The current building dates from a 1973 reconstruction.
The mill demonstrates traditional grain processing methods that visitors can watch in action today. You see how the water powers the wheel and keeps the machinery turning.
The grounds offer parking and easy access, with paths running through the mill area. An attached cafe and shop make it comfortable to spend several hours there.
War Eagle is among the few operational water mills remaining in the southern United States and represents a rare connection to the region's industrial past. The water power comes from the same creek that has been used for nearly two centuries.
