The Holy Virgin Protection Orthodox Church features traditional architecture with a bell tower containing five bells from Rhodesia and an ornate iconostasis.
Established in 1953 as a parish church, the institution transformed into a male skete in 2015 under the leadership of Abbot Tikhon Gayfudinov.
The iconographer Archimandrite Cyprian created the church frescoes, while craftsman Dmitry Alexandrow constructed the detailed iconostasis for religious ceremonies.
The Orthodox Christian cemetery within the church grounds allows families to purchase burial plots, with the brethren maintaining the tombstones and surrounding areas.
After experiencing declining attendance in the early 2000s, the church received new organizational support in 2023 through alignment with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
