The Forum, Historic event venue in Bronzeville, Chicago, United States.

The Forum is housed in a two-story neoclassical building featuring three large painted portraits on its exterior walls honoring cultural figures. The interior retains original ballroom spaces and gallery areas that once hosted live performances and public gatherings.

The building was constructed in 1897 and became significant between 1920 and 1950 as a central meeting place during the Black Metropolis era. It hosted civil rights gatherings and major social events that shaped the community during this pivotal period.

The venue served as a gathering place where the local African American community celebrated music and social connections. People came here to experience performances and mark important moments in their cultural life.

The venue is located in an active urban neighborhood where visitors can easily view the building exterior and surroundings. The site is currently undergoing significant restoration work including structural repairs and interior improvements, so planning ahead is advisable.

The building was days away from demolition before a private owner stepped in and purchased it to save the structure. Shortly after this rescue, it gained listing on the National Register of Historic Places, bringing official recognition to its architectural importance.
