Ontario Beach Park

Ontario Beach Park spans 39 acres along Lake Ontario with a natural sand beach and an extended pier for waterfront access. The grounds include open-air shelters, rental lodge facilities, sports courts, and a carousel that visitors can explore.

The park developed as a public access point to Lake Ontario's shoreline, gaining a carousel built in 1905 with hand-carved animals. That piece of equipment has remained in place since installation and continues to operate for visitors today.

Summer concerts held Wednesday evenings at the performance pavilion connect the local community to the waterfront through live music and gathering. The informal setting shows how the park serves as a social hub beyond its recreational function.

The park is open year-round, though rental facilities and grilling areas operate between May and October for peak season use. Visitors planning beach activities or outdoor dining should visit during warmer months when amenities are fully available.

A synthetic ice skating rink opens during winter months, offering cold-weather recreation right at the waterfront where people swim in summer. The same sandy grounds convert to volleyball courts in warmer seasons, showing how the space adapts to different times of year.
