The building, constructed in 1926, operated as a music venue until 1994, hosting performances by artists including B.B. King, Pantera, and Nine Inch Nails.
Bill Deal and The Rhondels served as the house band in 1965, establishing the venue as a central point for regional music development.
The venue remained accessible from the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, offering beverages and snacks to visitors during summer entertainment events.
The structure represented the last remaining shingle-style building from the early 1900s along the Virginia Beach shoreline before its demolition in 1995.
