Peppermint Beach Club, Music venue at Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, United States.
Peppermint Beach Club was a music venue with capacity for roughly 1,000 people at the corner of 15th Street and Atlantic Avenue. The two-story building featured stages for live performances and sat within easy walking distance of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.
The building went up in 1926 and hosted live music for nearly 7 decades. It drew both established and rising artists before closing in 1994.
The venue served as a gathering place where music fans could hear both regional and national artists perform live. Over its decades of operation, visitors helped create a lively scene that shaped the local music landscape.
The location sat right on the Boardwalk where visitors could find parking and reach it on foot. On-site food and drink options complemented the experience during events.
The structure was one of the last examples of early shingle-style architecture from the first quarter of the 1900s in the area. This distinctive building style vanished when the structure was demolished in 1995.
