Dhe-Tsang Monastery, Buddhist monastery in Sichuan, China

Dhe-Tsang Monastery features traditional stone and wood architecture, spanning over 3,000 square meters with three to four levels of intricately designed buildings.

Founded in 1414 by Tibetan master Awang Zhaba, the monastery served as a gathering point for the Red Army during their Long March in 1935.

The monastery houses 108 volumes of the Kangyur Buddhist texts, bronze statues of Buddhist deities, and extensive collections of religious artifacts.

The monastery stands 54 kilometers from Markang City, accessible through the forest road that extends from Dalangzu Valley to Shaerzong Township.

The monastery walls contain detailed murals depicting the Four Heavenly Kings and the Pure Land of Shambhala in their ground-floor corridors.
