Ratshof, City hall in Halle, Germany.

The Ratshof stands at the marketplace of Halle, featuring a massive corner tower and tall windows across its five administrative floors.

Built in the late 1920s, this administrative building replaced the Old City Hall after its destruction during World War II.

The building represents the New Objectivity architectural movement, incorporating elements of Expressionism in its design and concrete municipal coat of arms.

The main entrance on the marketplace contains four pillars leading to various administrative offices and municipal services for citizens.

The structure forms the eastern boundary of the expanded marketplace, though initiatives exist to rebuild the Old City Hall that would conceal it.

Location: Halle (Saale)
