Schloss Saareck

Schloss Saareck is a historicism-style castle near the Saar River, featuring dark wooden paneling throughout its interior spaces. The building contains refined guest rooms and displays classic German castle architecture.

The castle began as a private residence for the von Boch family and was transformed into a guesthouse by Villeroy & Boch in 1954. This conversion preserved the building while giving it a new purpose.

The castle displays German aristocratic architecture and serves today for conferences, events, and celebrations. This dual purpose connects the site's historical roots with contemporary hospitality.

The castle is accessible through multiple cycling routes, including a path from Saarhölzbach that connects to the Saarschleife river loop. Its location near the water makes it easy to include in biking tours.

The castle has been managed by the same company for over six decades, combining monument status with modern hotel operations. This long continuity is unusual and shapes how the place functions today.
