Sunninghill Park

Sunninghill Park is a country estate near Windsor with a substantial main residence and extensive grounds. The property sits directly adjacent to Windsor Great Park and contains multiple reception rooms and bedrooms throughout the house.

The site originated as part of the royal Windsor Forest until the mid-17th century when it passed into private ownership. The location underwent multiple transformations during the 20th century with significant rebuilding and renovations.

The Georgian house served as headquarters for the American Ninth Air Force from 1943 to 1944 before being destroyed by fire in 1947.

The estate is located in a quiet area with good access from Windsor and neighboring towns. Visitors should be aware that this is a private residential property and not open to the public.

The property was acquired in the early 2000s by a Kazakh businessman and subsequently transformed completely. The modernization involved demolishing the older structure and building a new house with significantly more bedrooms than before.
