Becky Falls, Waterfall and wildlife park in Manaton, England
Becky Falls is a waterfall and wildlife park in Manaton within Dartmoor National Park, featuring a cascade flowing through a granite-lined woodland valley. The site combines the natural water feature with an Animal Discovery Zone where visitors can watch animals and attend talks from keepers throughout the day.
The waterfall formed during the last ice age approximately 12,000 years ago and opened to visitors as a tourist destination in 1903. It has since developed into a popular spot for those interested in nature and wildlife.
The site features three color-coded walking trails that guide visitors through different experiences. The marked routes reflect how locals and visitors have learned to move through this natural space over time.
The location sits about 10 minutes from the A38 expressway and provides free parking for visitors. Dogs on leads are welcome throughout the grounds, making it easy to plan a visit with your pet.
The Animal Discovery Zone hosts hourly keeper talks where visitors can learn directly from staff about the animals on the grounds. This interactive element transforms a simple nature walk into an educational experience.
