Old Shire Hall, Grade II listed university building in Durham, England.
The Old Shire Hall features red terracotta walls, a symmetrical nine-bay frontage, an arched doorway entrance, and a central dome-capped tower.
Built in 1898 by architects Harry Barnes and Frederick Coates for £14,000, the building served as Durham County Council headquarters until 1963.
The structure contains a memorial dedicated to local council staff members who lost their lives during both World Wars.
Located at coordinates 54.774929, -1.56975 in Old Elvet, the building now functions as administrative offices for Durham University.
The circular former council chamber within the building has been transformed into a restaurant with seating for 100 guests.
