Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Gothic Revival Catholic church in Redditch, England
The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel stands between Beoley Road West and Holloway Lane, featuring pointed arches and ribbed vaults characteristic of Gothic Revival design.
Built between 1833 and 1834, the church emerged from a Catholic mission established after the Reformation, with Lady Catherine Smythe purchasing the initial construction site.
The church maintains strong connections with local educational institutions, including Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, St Augustine's, and St Bede's Middle School.
Three Sunday services take place at the church, with Mass celebrations at 5:00 PM on Saturday and two additional services at 8:15 AM and 6:00 PM on Sunday.
The structure represents the only Catholic church designed by architect Thomas Rickman, receiving Grade II listed status on April 10, 1954.
