New Barnet War Memorial, War memorial and Grade II listed building at Station Road and Lyonsdown Road junction, London Borough of Barnet, England.
The New Barnet War Memorial features a bronze figure of winged victory holding a palm leaf on a globe atop a Portland stone obelisk.
The memorial, constructed in 1921 and designed by Newbury Abbot Trent, commemorates 277 men and one woman who lost their lives in World War I.
The names of 136 additional soldiers from World War II were inscribed on the memorial following a campaign by Catherine Loveday to honor their service.
The memorial occupies a triangular plot at the intersection of two roads, making it easily visible and accessible for visitors paying their respects.
The bronze allegorical figure stands as the only war memorial in East Barnet Valley that combines both architectural and sculptural elements in this specific design.
