Cwm Prysor Viaduct, Railway viaduct in Trawsfynydd, Wales
The stone structure spans 490 feet across the Afon Prysor valley with nine consecutive arches, reaching a height of 105 feet above the river.
The Bala and Festiniog Railway constructed this transportation link in 1882, serving both passenger and freight trains until its closure in 1961.
The Grade II listed structure represents the engineering capabilities of Victorian railway construction and remains a testament to Wales industrial transportation heritage.
Visitors can explore the viaduct through a 7.8-mile round walking path from the designated parking area, following the former railway track bed.
Metal railings added during 1953 repairs still stand atop the original stone parapets, marking the final modifications before the railway ceased operations.
