Wieża widokowa na Kłodzkiej Górze, Observation tower in the Bardzkie Mountains, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland
Wieża widokowa na Kłodzkiej Górze is a steel lattice observation tower built on the summit of Kłodzka Góra, a peak in the Bardzkie Mountains of Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. The tower has four balconies at different levels, with the highest one sitting just over 30 meters above the ground.
The tower was built in 2020 as part of a cross-border project linking viewing points on both the Polish and Czech sides of the Sudetes. Its construction cost just over one million zloty, and it joined a network of planned or existing towers on nearby peaks such as Orlica.
The most common starting point is the free parking lot at Przełęcz Kłodzka, from which the walk to the summit platform takes around an hour and a half. The path is steep in places and the ground is uneven, so sturdy footwear is a good idea, and the upper platform can sway noticeably in strong wind.
Despite its steel frame, the tower sways noticeably when the wind picks up, which surprises many visitors who expect a rigid platform at the top. The tower is also one stop along a route that links ten different viewing points across the region, so a visit to the summit can be planned as one stage of a longer walk.
