Samar cave

Samar cave is a natural cave system in Kopajkošara with an underground network of passages and chambers. The tunnels wind through the rock formations, creating a complex path that visitors must follow with guidance.

The cave gained global attention when a speleologist conducted an extended underground residence experiment in the late 1960s. This event brought the site recognition within the history of cave exploration and human endurance.

The cave bears the name of local speleologist Milutin Veljkovic, whose extended stay transformed this geological formation into a symbol of human determination.
