St Luke's Church, Ilford, Anglican parish church in Ilford, England.
St Luke's Church is a stone and redbrick church building located at the corner of Baxter Road and St Luke's Avenue, featuring Gothic architectural elements with an aisled nave and transepts. The interior layout is structured around side aisles and reflects the traditional design typical of Anglican parish churches.
The church began as a temporary mission station in 1909 before the permanent building was consecrated in 1915. The structure was rebuilt in 1954 after sustaining wartime damage.
The congregation brings together people from different countries, and on Sundays the Marthoma Church and worshippers from Kerala also celebrate their own services in a dedicated space.
The church is accessible by buses 169 and EL1, which connect from Barking and Ilford railway stations. Visitors should note the corner location at the intersection of two main streets to find the entrance easily.
In the 1980s the building underwent a major redesign that reoriented its liturgical layout. Modern facilities and a new chapel were added at the same time to meet contemporary needs.
