Episcopal Church Of St John, Ballachulish

The Episcopal Church of St John features a tall cruciform design with rubble construction, tooled ashlar dressings, and local slate covering its steeply pitched roofs.

The church structure, designed by architect Peter Macnab from Oban, was completed in 1842 with the nave, followed by the addition of the chancel in 1888.

The church interior contains painted hoodmoulds emphasizing the chancel and transept arches, along with a gilded reredos and detailed choir area for religious services.

The church's burial ground includes a ha-ha at its seaward boundary and contains a collection of finely inscribed 19th-century tombstones recognized for their craftsmanship.
