Stob Coire Sgreamhach, Mountain summit in Highland, Scotland
Stob Coire Sgreamhach reaches an elevation of 1072 meters and forms part of a jagged ridge alongside Beinn Fhada near Glencoe Valley.
The mountain earned its name, which translates to Peak of the Fearful Corrie, from local inhabitants who recognized its steep rocky formations.
Scottish mountaineers categorize this peak as a Munro, ranking it as the 65th highest mountain in Scotland among the collection of peaks over 3000 feet.
The ascent through Coire Gabhail begins with a steep incline next to Allt Coire Gabhail stream before reaching a level path in the lower corrie.
The summit contains multiple rock formations affected by erosion, creating natural platforms that provide views across the neighboring Highland peaks.
