Porton Down SSSI, Site of Special Scientific Interest
Porton Down SSSI is a large protected area in Salisbury, Wiltshire, covering more than eleven hundred hectares with a mix of rare natural habitats. The landscape features unbroken chalk grassland, woodlands with juniper and conifers, and wildflower meadows that support insects and small animals.
