The Brighton and Hove National Spiritualist Church occupies a curved, windowless building with vertical concrete blocks and interior brick construction on Edward Street.
Founded in 1902, the church moved through various locations before settling in its current Brutalist structure, completed in 1965 by architects Overton & Partners.
The church conducts regular mediumship demonstrations, healing sessions, and spiritual development circles as part of its core religious practices throughout the week.
Sunday services begin at 11:00 AM, followed by healing sessions from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, with additional mediumship demonstrations on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The building features an unusual figure-of-eight design and received local heritage status in 2015 for its architectural contribution to Brighton's modern landscape.
