Lloyd House, Police headquarters in Birmingham, England
Lloyd House extends across 13 floors with a height of 48.7 meters, featuring an L-shaped design measuring 70 by 30 meters at its largest sides.
The building, constructed between 1960 and 1964 for steel company Stewarts & Lloyds, became the West Midlands Police headquarters in 1974.
In June 2020, Lloyd House became a focal point for public gatherings related to social justice movements, reflecting its role in community relations.
The 2014-2016 renovation created space for 1,100 employees and consolidated multiple police administrative functions under one roof, reducing operational costs.
The building's refurbishment incorporated materials and workers sourced within a 40-mile radius, supporting the local Birmingham economy.
