Altus House, Student housing skyscraper in Arena Quarter, Leeds, England
Altus House is a 114-meter-tall skyscraper with 38 floors in Leeds' Arena Quarter, housing 752 student rooms within a contemporary glass and concrete structure. The building occupies a previously developed site and now defines the area with its modern architectural design.
Construction began in 2019 on the former Hume House site and was completed in 2021. The project resulted from collaboration between Zena Ltd and Olympian Homes.
The building shapes Leeds' skyline as a modern residential space for students from around the world. Its central location makes it a significant part of student life in the city.
The building sits on Merrion Way with direct access to nearby venues, public transit connections, and shops within easy walking distance. Keep in mind this is a residential building, so interior access is limited for visitors.
A roof terrace on the 35th floor offers visitors a sweeping city view from an unexpected vantage point. This represents the highest vantage point across Yorkshire and northern England combined.
